I don't know if facebook is even thinking of this or not but it can help them make some money, I hope. I feel that the recent changes in news feed can surely generate some revenue. Changes on the home pages leads me to  this.  This is just an idea to make some money without disturbing any users.

Wall Post - Feed Integration:
Now all our wall posts go to news feed if it is popular among your friends. Previously we were not able to create any news feed. It was automatically generated by facebook based on events you do on facebook and by few applications. But after this wall post - feed integration, you can send your wall post to feeds.
So if today, a news channel buys one account in facebook then they can post on their wall and it will be automatically reflected in news feed. Easy job for channel admin.

Rich Feed :
Previously, we were not able to include any kind of link ,videos, images in a feed but after wall-feed integration they can easily add links and videos in feed. It will be more easier for news channels to highlight their story,video, links in feed.

Channel Menu :
Thirdly, when I see left menu, I take one step forward. Why do we need long menu like that. We can manage all the user application feed using a small drop down at the top. They can provide list of paid channels news feed in left menu. As users are already used to the current menu, it won't be difficult to shift and also it won't be a disturbing element for them.

Questions:
I know you might be thinking that we have fan pages for the same thing and they can sale them out too but it will be easier for facebook daily users to handle new channels than fan pages.
