Overview:
Tasks is a Gmail Labs feature designed to help you keep track of the things you need to do. You can create lists of items, set due dates and notes, and even add Gmail messages directly to Tasks. Integration with your Gmail account means that Tasks is right there when you need it.

Suggestion to Gmail Team:

Lets first discuss the importance of "Label" system in gmail. Before gmail launched in market, we used to have folders structure. We used to organize our mails in folders. But there is a problem in organizing mails in folder. We can't send one mail in multiple folder. Suppose, we have three folders "Family Member", "Bank transaction" and "Important". Now,you recieve one mail from your family member which is very important and it contains some bank trasaction details. Now, where will you keep this mail? Either you copy this mail in all folders which is a tedious task.

Gmail came with better implementation of mails ornanization by using labels on it. Now all your mails are saved in one folder "All Mail" and you can put lables on every mails. Creating labels are equivalent to making folders. Now in gmail you can assign any numbers of labels on any mail. Basically in gmail, labels can be considered as filters. I believe, when you click on any label (folder) it just filter all the mails matching the label from "All Mails" folder.

Now come to task feature in Gmail. In task, we can create list and can add task to it. But here implementation is different. We can't label task. So we can't have a task in more than one list. Though I don't know how many people want label implemenation on task list but yesterday my friend came to me and explained me his problem as I explained above. I hope Google Team will listen to this request and will come up with best implemenation for his valuable users
