What is Qrimp?

With Qrimp you can build any kind of database application - from a simple blog to an enterprise-class financial knowledge management and collaboration system and everything in between. Qrimp has been used to build online stores, corporate intranets, ISP management systems, student gradebooks, photo-sharing websites, digital asset management systems and more.

Qrimp

So what type of applications can you build with Qrimp… any application that manages data, which are frankly most applications. To name a few, you can build custom solutions for:

customer relationship management (CRM)
inventory management
enterprise resource planning
supply chain management
knowledge management
digital asset management
financial management
human resources… and more

If you don’t have existing data to import and are starting from scratch, Qrimp enables you to create a database (tables, relationships, and all) through a web interface. Qrimp dynamically transforms your new database into a software application . The application allows you to manipulate and view your data in many ways. You can build custom workflows, business rules, data views, design templates and more.

Your new application is completely accessible securely through the web. But what about offline (or local) access to your application and data? Qrimp can be installed on a local machine, enabling offline access if needed. See the Synchronizer and Qrimp Server help topics.

Public Access

And what if you don’t want all your data to be securely locked up? Systems are web-ready for your users and available to the public when anonymous permissions are created. Make your information available to others and integrate with external services for payment processing, maps, shipping, flickr, twitter, rss - anything with an API. You can also share data from your Qrimp application to external sites using Share Data . To learn more read about the Anonymous user group (see also: User Groups ).

Upload Attachments
Some of your data might be stored in existing documents, such as Word, Excel, PDF, video, or other formats. You can store and manage these documents in Qrimp as Attachments at any time.

In the Cloud or not in the Cloud? That is the question…
Qrimp can be hosted in the cloud or installed behind your firewall. In the cloud, once you have imported your data or entered it directly into your Qrimp application, it is stored in a centralized location on secure servers, ready for access and editing by authorized users at any time. But if the cloud isn’t for you, Qrimp can be installed behind your firewall with the Qrimp Server .
